Memoirs of Balys Sruoga. Together with 47 fellow intellectuals, the literati was sent to the Nazi concentration camp Stutthof during the Second World War. After years of severe suffering, entering bright communism did not bring with it the hoped-for freedom. Refusing to cooperate with the authorities, the man died a few years later with broken health.
