Lenin : Venemaa võrgutamine

Leonid Mlečin (b. 1957) is known to Estonian readers as the author of the books "KGB", "Válisministerid", "Brezhnev" and "Andropov" published in Varrak publishing house. In 2013, at the Prima Vista festival in Tartu, Mletšin answered the question of which of his books he would recommend to be translated next:

"It could be "Lenin. Seduction of Russia", published in 2011. When I started writing this, I discovered to some surprise that there are many books about Lenin, but there is no proper treatment by Russian authors. When writing about Lenin, the focus is on his activities as a revolutionary, he is seen from the point of view of the party. However, no one has had the goal of showing how deeply the influence of Lenin and the ideas and actions of those close to him actually changed people and society."

In Mlechin's Lenin, we see relatively little of Lenin himself. The image of the leader is created by the "court" - Lenin's comrades-in-arms and comrades-in-arms.
