"The dictionary contains words from the entire East Estonian dialect area: from the southern part of Iisaku parish, Torma parish, the northern part of Kodavere parish, Maarja-Magdaleena, Palamuse, Äksi, and Laiuse parishes.
The East Estonian dialect is one of the most distinctive in Estonia. Its vocabulary reflects, among other things, ancient contacts with the Northeastern and Southern Estonian dialects, as well as the Russian language. The presented vocabulary vividly conveys the uniqueness of the language, culture, and nature of this region. For selected words, basic forms, meanings, and example sentences are provided
