Mittelineaarne dünaamika ja kaos

Between these covers is the first attempt to present an overview of chaos theory in the Estonian language. The book is written primarily with university students in mind, who may use it as study material. Alongside students, the authors hope to reach a broader readership. For this reason, a descriptive and emotional approach has been deliberately emphasized.

The book begins with an account of the emergence of the nonlinear worldview, explaining through examples why the simple and convenient linear worldview proved insufficient for the analysis of many phenomena. The following chapter examines mathematical modeling, followed by the classical theory of ordinary differential equations. Thereafter, the reader embarks on the fascinating path of chaos theory, becoming acquainted with bifurcation theory, fractals, and their wondrous world.
