The aim of this collection is to inspire and encourage teachers and students to use and modify value-based play scripts in a way that makes the situations or dilemmas addressed resonate with the specific class or school performing the play.

In value education, various active learning methods can be applied. Many of these belong to the field of drama pedagogy, which has undoubtedly been in use for a long time—whether in school theater clubs, classrooms, ceremonies, or thematic evenings, different plays have always been created and staged. Today, several approaches have emerged within drama pedagogy, where the focus is not so much on the performance itself or delivering a message, but rather on staging and working with the script. These approaches are highly valuable from the perspective of value education, as they allow for the exploration and testing of multiple alternative scenarios instead of fixed roles. They also enable students to compare and better understand their own and others’ values.
