The material exhibited in the permanent survey exhibition Realist Art in Estonia at the State Art Museum of Tallinn provides an opportunity to become acquainted both with the realist and progressive artistic heritage of Estonia’s past and with a selection of the finest works by artists of Soviet Estonia, offering an overview of the development of art from the beginning of the nineteenth century to the present day.

At the end of the book, there are nearly one hundred reproductions accompanied by a catalogue.
