Fanny Copeland was a Scottish climber (actually born in Ireland) who spent 40 years in Jugoslavia, including the Nazi Occupation. Amongst her achievements was a record setting ascent of Triglav at the age of 86 and playing a part in the formation of what became the Kingdom of Yugoslavia post the First World War. She was a member of the Scottish Mountaineering Club, the Ski Club of Great Britain, and the British Alpine Club. From the library of Geoff Milburn.
