The basic data and kinematic diagrams of punching, revolving, slotting, carousel, flanging, aggregate, milling, twist milling, planing, pushing, combing, grinding, planishing, jigging and tooth-cutting presses are given, together with their tuning characteristics. Automatic and semi-automatic lathes are described. A brief overview of bench program control and automatic lines is given. Data are given on the operation of metal cutting machines. The book is intended for students of mechanical engineering. It is also suitable for use by foremen and skilled workers.
