The book describes and analyzes various physical phenomena occurring in radio receivers of different purposes and designs. Special attention is given to ultra-shortwave (VHF) receivers. A separate chapter is devoted to explaining the differences in the operation of transistor receivers and to the study of transistor circuits.
The book presents, with sufficient thoroughness, the fundamentals of calculating a radio receiver as a whole as well as its individual stages, including illustrative examples.
