The report of a study conducted by the Ministry of Social Affairs, the purpose of which was to study the interpretation of violence by young people.

Estonian children's experiences of violence have been studied before, although we obviously still need information about the phenomenon. But what exactly is it that we are studying? How do children accept and reject violence? What is more severe violence for them - beating or ignoring? What do they think about the possibilities of intervention? These are questions that should really be clear before quantifying violence against children. The research carried out by the working group of the Department of Sociology and Social Policy of TU has examined children's own perspective on violence, thus paving the way to talk WITH children and not only ABOUT children.
