The book provides a brief overview of forestry research undertaken in the post-war years both in these institutions and in a number of other organizations, including the Faculty of Forestry and Hydromelioration of the Estonian Agricultural Academy, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Tartu State University, the Kuremaa Forestry School, the Tallinn Botanic Garden, the Nature Conservation Commission of the Academy of Sciences, the Nature Conservation Administration, the Estonian Naturalists’ Society, and others.
