Ava silmad! : käsiraamat vägivalda kogenud naistele

The book addresses a dark side of our society that has so far remained unaddressed - violence against women. Unlike other European countries, where extensive programs have been implemented to combat this violation of human rights, this phenomenon remains largely unacknowledged in Estonia. The book is primarily intended for women who have experienced or are currently experiencing violence. It aims to help those suffering from one form of violence or another within their own four walls, who feel too ashamed to speak out or blame themselves, to understand the nature of this phenomenon and how to cope with it. This publication should also be read by lawmakers and politicians, police and social workers, medical professionals and psychologists, teachers and researchers, as violence against women is a phenomenon treated as a human rights violation - a problem whose solution depends on the coordinated actions of various institutions.
