Russia and the United States : fated to be together?

The book is an analysis of the causes, consequences and ways out of the two major economic shocks of the 20th century: the Great Depression of the 1930s in the United States and the Great Depression of the 1990s in post-Soviet Russia. The characteristic features of these events, the role of oligarchic structures and the state in them are considered. The study and comparison of the economies of the two countries was carried out by the author for the period from the emergence of the first contacts of Russians with American colonists to multilateral interstate relations between Russia and the United States today. The book is intended for a wide circle of readers interested in Russian-American relations and for specialists working on international issues. The publication is supplemented with illustrations and photographs reflecting the long and multifaceted history of economic relations between the two countries - Russia and the United States.
