Johann Gottfried von Herder (1744–1803) was a German writer and philosopher. He dealt primarily with political philosophy. He is an important representative of the Age of Enlightenment, Storm and Urge and Weimar Classicism.

Volume 17 of his collected works contains his works from the Weimar period.
