The handbook provides an overview of medicinal plants found in Estonia and suitable for cultivation in Estonian conditions. For each plant, the Estonian, Latin, and Russian names are given, along with common Estonian folk names, a description of the plant, guidelines for collecting, the main constituents of the crude drug, examples of use in folk medicine, and information on the plant’s application and significance in modern scientific medicine. For cultivated plants, brief cultivation instructions are also included.

The book is intended for everyone interested in medicinal plants - collectors, school students, technical school students, university students, healthcare professionals, and biologists.
