Die Nacht des Dr. Herzfeld

Georg Hermann, actually Georg Hermann Borchardt (October 7, 1871 in Berlin - November 19, 1943 in Auschwitz-Birkenau) was a German writer and a Jewish victim of the Holocaust.

The art collector and loner Alwin Herzfeld drifts through Berlin a hundred years ago. Every evening he is a guest in a Berlin café. One evening he tries to break out of his loneliness. The impressionist novel is a eulogy to the beauty of the big city.
