Russian book illustration of the 19th century. The author is Efimovich (1903–1958) – art critic, researcher of Russian art of the 18th–19th centuries. During the siege of Leningrad, while serving as deputy director of the Russian Museum, he organized the evacuation of its artistic treasures. In 1946 he published a special edition dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Russian Museum.
