Koos lahus : uurimusi ja kriitikat eesti ja soome kirjandusest

Pekka Lilja (1943) is a Finnish literary scholar, emeritus professor at the University of Jyväskylä. He has studied both Finnish and Estonian literature, has been an active literary critic in both languages, and has been one of the most important creators of cultural bridges between the two countries for decades. Lilja's dissertation, "Positiviisen sankarin tulo neuvostovirolaiseen romaanain" (1980) opened up completely new perspectives in the treatment of Soviet Estonian literature independent of censorship, part of which is also published in this volume. He has published several works in Finnish, and in Estonian, the book "Urho Kekkonen ja Eesti" (2007) has been published as a joint work by Pekka Lilja and Kulle Raig. "Koos lahus" is Lilja's first collection of articles in Estonian, which includes works from 1973 onwards and provides a cross-section of his diverse activities.
