Kriminaaltäitevõigus

The textbook was prompted by the reform of criminal enforcement law, which culminated in the adoption of a new imprisonment law in the spring of 2000, completing the transformation of Estonian criminal enforcement law.
However, this textbook is not narrowly focused on examining imprisonment law derived from the Imprisonment Act, but rather it seeks to conceptualize criminal enforcement law as a legal branch in post-independence Estonia for the first time. Therefore, between these covers, the enforcement of various sanctions is discussed alongside the enforcement of deprivation of liberty. The textbook covers the enforcement of deprivation of liberty (closed enforcement) and alternatives to deprivation of liberty (open enforcement).
