The book seeks to explain the rules of Russian pronunciation while taking into account the specific features of Estonian pronunciation, in order to help interested learners consciously reduce the so-called national accent in their Russian speech.

The proposed minimum standard of correct pronunciation is intended primarily for students in non-philological departments, but also for all others who wish to improve their knowledge of the Russian language independently.
