The book examines linguistic phenomena of the Estonian and Russian languages from a functional-contrastive perspective, focusing on the differences between the two languages. It includes chapters on phonetics, word formation, morphology, and syntax. A separate chapter is dedicated to analyzing typical errors made by learners. The appendices provide a brief overview of Estonian vocabulary and a small Russian-Estonian dictionary of the terms used. This handbook is intended for teachers of Estonian as a second language, particularly those for whom Estonian is not their native language.
