Hans Sissas has dedicated his free time to writing down and publishing everything related to the deportations from Võrumaa and the future fate of these people. He is certain: in order for these events to never happen again, it is necessary to publish the whole truth. He has collected memories from many of his fellow survivors and relived the suffering he experienced through the eyes of a fifteen-year-old boy at the time.
