In the proposed collective monograph, with the involvement of new documentary and historiographical material, the events that led to the Second World War, the confrontation between the forces of peace and aggression in the international arena in the 30s are considered. The main attention is focused on the analysis of the pre-war political crisis of 1939 and the possibilities of an alternative development of events.
