Kuhu kuningad kadusid?

Kati and Jaan's writing is a profound homage to Estonian identity, the essence of being Estonian, and to all compatriots who gave their lives for Estonia. One doesn't need to delve deeply into history to realize that the survival of our nation is a miracle. What Murutar and Tätte have written serves as a reminder to contemporary Estonians of the struggles and challenges that have led to the present-day Republic of Estonia.While living in a near-welfare society, we must not forget how fragile and delicate, yet immeasurably valuable, our homeland, language, and people are. We are the guardians and protectors of this treasure, its preservers and developers. Let us do so wisely and with heartfelt understanding—so that our future kings may survive, and our girls may become companions to boys and mothers of new children before the boys are once again drawn into war and death. And let us raise all children born on the land of Maarjamaa to be Estonians, borrowing the best from deeper-rooted ancestral lands, always and in every case!
