Forming a private detective agency with his partner Jean Taureau, they are recruited by the sender of an unexplained blackmail letter. Suddenly, this seemingly innocent letter bombardment turns into a life and death battle between wrestling sharks. It doesn't shy away from murder, several of which take place in broad daylight in the middle of the French capital. But then two bodies suddenly disappear and only at the end, as is typical of a good crime novel, everything is revealed.
