A book titled "Eternal Score: Estonian Scientists on the Horizon" has been published by Rein Veskimäe, who worked as a real sciences editor at the magazine Horisont for 40 years. The book features interviews with 22 Estonian academicians and 22 stories about Estonian science and scientific achievements over the past decades. The interviewees include Harald Keres, Endel Lippmaa, Jaan Einasto, Jüri Engelbrecht, Ene Ergma, Enn Tõugu, Karl Rebane—all well-known academicians to the general public. It also features material scientist and pioneer of the current solar energy direction in Estonia, and participant in many European projects, Enn Mellikov; member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and long-time member of the Nobel Prize committee, Indrek Martinson; Estonian-American rocket and spacecraft builder Jyri Kork; and US astronaut Edgar Mitchell, who walked on the Moon, among others. The author also writes about academicians Anto Raukas and Georg Liidja, medical doctor Aili Paju, composer-musician Urmas Sisask, and a bit about himself.

This unique overview of the Estonian cultural scene is depicted through the lens of scientific luminaries. A book intended for a wide readership, it offers intriguing insights into astronomy, cybernetics, physics, informatics, astronautics, geology, biophysics, the application of lasers in medicine, and more.
