The book is an addition to the author's school textbook "Eesti ajaloo algõpetus" (Parts 1 and 2). The structure of the book corresponds to that of the textbook. Thus, Part 1 of the book selectively introduces materials from Estonian history from ancient times to the beginning of the 17th century.
