One of the carriers of spiritual life is the church. It is a part of culture that deepens people's moral and spiritual awareness. The emergence of the first organized congregation in Nõmme is connected with the name of Manfred von Glehn. The son of the founder of the town of Nõmme found a vocation in promoting the religious life here and did it quite actively. Already in 1893, he founded the Jälgimäe Baptist Church, was its first elder and preacher. Ten years later, in 1903, operations continued in Nõmme in the former premises of Glehn's mechanic shop on Puuvilja street. In 1904, the local fraternal congregation took shelter in the former Glehn foundry. Lutheran services were also held in the same building the following year. In 1913, Manfred von Glehn donated these commemorative stamps of the failed industry together with the lots to the parishes. In addition, the Orthodox of Nõmme also received land to build a church. Baptists, Lutherans, Orthodox - these are the first denominations confirmed to carry Nõmme. All of them are also covered in the accompanying book. The Catholics, who will soon start building their sanctuary on Nõmme, have also been briefly stopped.
