“Winter” (Talve) is a work published in 1994 by the publishing house Ilmamaa under the name of Oskar Luts, although serious doubts have been raised regarding its authorship. 

In 1938, the first part of the writer’s novel “Autumn” (Sügis) was published. It is known that Oskar Luts had a definite intention to complete “Winter” as well. In the 10 March 1939 issue of Uudisleht, Luts promised his readers that he would publish two books during that year: one, presumably the second part of “Autumn”, and the other apparently “Winter”, intended as the final installment of the series. However, neither book was published at that time. Parts I and II of “Autumn” were eventually published together in book form only in 1988.
