It is completely unbearable to be in a room for more than an hour, or at most two, with a bunch of people all wearing exactly the same jacket -- by identical I understand here to mean substantive or meaningful similarity, with the outer form of the jacket being irrelevant. Much of the anxiety, of course, is caused by the fact that everyone else makes me resent my unwillingness to wear a similar jacket.
