Lugusid vanalt Läänemaalt

The book contains memories, sayings, folk wisdom, and beliefs collected from older people originating from the authors’ home region. However, it is not a work of local history research, but rather a collection of stories whose beginnings are mostly based on one- or two-sentence fragments of recollection, with the rest developed by the authors. The aim has been to provide readers with insight into everyday life in Läänemaa about a hundred years ago. The settings, as well as the names of characters and places, have been chosen arbitrarily.

Although the characters in the stories are somewhat humorous, the book as a whole is of a serious nature.
