In these times, the issue of raising productivity is becoming increasingly important. One of the important factors in achieving high productivity is to create the right relationships between the human-machine-ambient environment system and to take people into account when designing machines and workplaces. The Finnish researchers' book deals with problems related to the rational organisation of work, the design of equipment and workplaces that are convenient for service, and the design of efficient working methods. There are numerous examples of the use of biotechnological (ergonomic) principles in a wide range of work.
